Students Come Together To Cancel Final Year Exams

Ever since the HRD Ministry and UGC made it mandatory to conduct final year exams by September end, it has beem facing lot of opposition. Recently, a total of 31 students filed a plea in supreme court against the UGC's decision to conduct final year exams by states im September end. 

The total of 31 students have come together to file a plea against the UGC to conduct final year exams. The students also include few who have been tested positive for Covid-19 and some have their family members tested positive. As mentioned it is difficult to focus on exams in the difficult times.

Earlier, the Yuva Sena - The Youth Wing of Shiv Sena headed by Aditya Thackeray filed a plea in supreme court against the UGC'S decision asking states to mandatorily Conduct final year exams. Maharashtra along with other states like West Bengal and Delhi has also shown opposition against the order given by the education body. 

In the times like these when the world is facing the immense difficult decision to how to open up the economy while containing the virus, it is extremely important for government to consider the best possible solutions for education sector as well. Exams surely helps in analising ones capabilities however it is not the only mode left to do so. 

The decision to carry on final year exams comes with lot of difficulties for students as well. Some who have left for their home town in hurry may not have access to study material. The question in the end still is the same, Can One Exam Analise a Student's Worth?
