Mumbai Rain Dilemma : Two Buildings Collapse in Malad and Fort Area Amidst Heavy Rain

Mumbai's issue pertaining to rainy season doesn't seem to be ending ever. Every year the city faces huge amount of rain. Issues related to drainage, water logging is common during rainy season in the city. In a disappointed news, two buildings collapsed today one in Malad and other in Fort while the city gets continuous 4th day of rain. 
Both the incidents took place in Mumbai today Thursday 16th July 2020. One of the building collapses was a 6 storey in the fort area of South Mumbai. One portion of the building is collapsed. The officials are trying to analise the damage and evacuate people trapped beneath. Fire tenders, ambulances have been rushed tk the spot inorder to save people trapped. 

The other incident took place in Malwani area of Malad, where a three storey chawl complex collapsed considering the continuous rainfall in the city since last 4 days. The report of one person's death has also come to light and few are trapped beneath the debris. Rescue team rushed the spot inorder to safeguard the people trapped beneath. 
Mumbai's rain Dilemma begins with the begining of the monsoon season, where cases like these are read about every now and then. Apart from this, the city has also been facing massive drainage and water logging issues for years now. 

Covid-19 has already shrinked the city of dreams to its core, however the problems for BMC has just begin with the onset of Monsoon in the city. 

On the other side of the country, Assam is wrecked in massive flood, affecting the livelihood of people.
