10 People Died In The Building Collapse Incident In Fort, Mumbai


In addition to the report of a multi storey building collapse in Mumbai on Thursday 16th July 2020, it is being stated that a total of 10 people has been dead so far in the unfortunate accident, as the search operation is carried on.

In the afternoon of Thursday 16th July 2020, a multi storey building collapsed in fort area of South Mumbai. Soon after the incident fire tenders and rescue team with ambulance rushed to the accident spot. Amongst the people rescused, three were already reported dead at midnight. Death of 62 year old woman was reported Friday morning.

The woman was rescused and was taken to J.J hospital however, she was declared dead today the BMC authority. Also a 17 year old boy is said to be in a critical condition at the hospital. 

At the time of incident, there was already a report of two people's death, however the situation worsen later at midnight and this morning. A corner portion of this multi storey building named 'Bhanushali' collapsed on Thursday following the continuous rain being witnessed in the city since last 5 days.

Search dogs are sniffing the area to identify loss on lives as the search operation continues. Maharashtra's Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was also seen analising the situation and visiting the site of damage earlier today.
